PENEGAKAN HUKUM TERHADAP ENDORSE CYBERGAMBLING MELALUI APLIKASI YOUTUBE (Studi kasus Polda Jawa Timur)

The rise of online gambling endorsement activities is one of the triggers for the growth of online gambling cases in Indonesia. Online gambling endorsements themselves are regulated in article 45 paragraph (2) of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions. Based on this, the author raises the formulation of the problem regarding law enforcement regarding online gambling endorsements via the YouTube application, reviewed from Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions in the East Java Regional Police and efforts East Java Regional Police in Eradicating the Spread of Online Gambling Through the YouTube Application. Writing this thesis uses an empirical juridical method using a socio-legal approach and collecting data sourced from observations, interviews and documentation. In law enforcement carried out by the police, the police tend to use a preventive approach, which consists of inquiry, investigation, examination of evidence and witness statements, determination of suspects, detention, laboratory tests on evidence and filing. The police have a certain strategy in taking action against the perpetratorsendorse online gambling via the YouTube application. However, in law enforcement there are still loopholes that can be exploited by perpetrators.
