Abstract
Scientific Writing (KTI) cannot be separated from educational outcomes. Constructive findings are often found in Scientific Writing (KTI). Problems arise due to the writing system of Scientific Writing (KTI) itself, because it is unable to penetrate the general public. From this problem emerged a system for changing components in Scientific Writing (KTI) so that it is easy for ordinary people to understand, namely conversion. Conversion or adaptation means changing components from one form to another.
The publisher Mata Kata Inspirasi has the potential for company development in the form of 2 company lines, namely publishing and printing. This is also supported by the existence of adequate facilities and infrastructure, in the form of places, facilities and supporting tools.
Pre-print activities are activities that begin the publication of a book. This activity is carried out before the book is printed. Pre-printing conversion manuscripts has 4 main steps, namely manuscript analysis, pre-adaptation, preparation of conversion drafts, and layouting. The conversion step only consists of 3 steps, namely analysis of the manuscript, pre-adaptation, preparation of the conversion draft, while layouting is the preparation of the manuscript into a ready-to-print manuscript and is not included in the conversion process. Conversion also has 2 ways, namely using the Microsoft Word or InDesign applications. The InDesign application is an application for compiling print-ready manuscripts.
From the results of the pre-print activities above, it can be seen that several important components in writing Scientific Writing (KTI) must be removed. This refers to the applicable ISBN provisions, that Scientific Writing (KTI) does not require an ISBN. Therefore, it is necessary to change the Scientific Writing (KTI) component so that ISBN registration is not rejected
