Abstract
Differentiated learning is learning that facilitates all the differences that learners have openly with the needs that learners will achieve. SDN Sumbersari 2 Malang is a school that has implemented differentiated learning by bringing up the components of content, process, product, and learning environment in the learning process. This research aims to describe the problem of implementing differentiated learning. This research uses descriptive qualitative approach and type. The methods used in obtaining data are interviews conducted with principals, classroom teachers and students of classes I, II, IV, and V, observations made in classes I, II, IV and V, and documentation. With data sources of the principal, class teachers I, II, IV, V, and students of class I, II, IV, V. The results showed that the implementation of differentiated learning at SDN Sumbersari 2 Malang has been carried out quite well as seen from the readiness of schools such as designing curriculum, providing facilities that are very supportive, then the readiness of teachers in teaching in class by making differentiated learning tools. However, there are problems in implementing differentiated learning, namely (1) learning resources that must be tailored to the needs of students (2) teachers must be creative in making learning media. (3) difficulties in content, process, and some materials that must be adapted to the learning environment. (4) different learning styles of learners. (5) limited teaching materials. (6) and how to achieve learning objectives with diverse learner abilities. Researchers are aware that this research is not perfect, there are several limitations and can be a factor to be considered by future researchers, namely the limited time of researchers in conducting classroom observations.
