KOMBINASI PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN DAN PEMBERIAN AROMATERAPI DALAM MENINGKATKAN RASA NYAMAN PADA LANSIA DENGAN HIPERTENSI Di Dusun Botoputih Desa Sumber Pasir Kecamatan Pakis Kabupaten Malang

Background: The elderly experience a process called the aging process which
results in physical problems in various organ systems including the
cardiovascular system which causes blood volume and contraction to decrease,
oxygenation of blood vessels is less effective so that peripheral vascular
resistance increases which triggers hypertension. This Final Scientific Paper aims
to analyze nursing care for Mr.Y with hypertension in Botoputih Hamlet, RT 035 /
RW 010, Sumberpasir Village, District, Malang Regency.
Methods: The research method of Ners' Final Scientific Paper uses case study
reports. Researchers follow scientific methods according to the rules of the
Nursing Process which include: Assessment, Data Analysis, Nursing Intervention,
Nursing Implementation, and Nursing Evaluation. In the study process, the author
used various data collection such as Anamnesis, Observation, Documentation
Study and Physical Examination to collect various information/data related to the
patient, namely Mr. Y. To supplement the missing data, the author also conducted
interviews with Mr.Y's family.
Result: After providing Nursing Care for 3 consecutive days, the author raised the
Main Diagnosis of Nursing, namely the disorder of comfort b/d symptoms of
disease (hypertension). Based on the Main Nursing Diagnosis, a pain
management education intervention was carried out, after nursing action, the
problem was partially resolved.
Discussion: The main nursing problem in Mr. Y is the disruption of comfort
carried out pain management education interventions, namely identifying
readiness and ability to find information, providing health education materials
and media, scheduling health education as agreed and teaching
nonpharmacological techniques to reduce pain. Another action recommendation
that can be given to people with hypertension is to provide aromatherapy
continuously because it is easy and practical to use.
