Abstract
This study examines the Social Capital of Tempe Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Development in Beji Village, Junrejo District, Batu City. This research was conducted to find out how social capital in the development of tempeh MSMEs in Beji Village. Social capital is an effort that must be grown to strengthen business existence which includes elements of values, norms, trust, and networks. Every element that includes social capital will have an impact on a social relationship to maintain and strengthen an MSME. The research method uses qualitative methods with a case study type of research. The subject determination technique uses a total sampling technique by using all populations to become subjects. The data collection method uses observation, interviews and documentation. The theory in this study uses Putnam's social capital which includes three aspects, namely norm values, trust and networks. The results found in this study show that if the norm value of each MSME in general has a disciplined, punctual and mutual respect attitude between individuals and employees, production entrusted to employees and networks shows that cooperation between owners and customers is established.
