Abstract
This research aims to describe and analyze the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility Education at PetroChina International Jabung Ltd. in improving the quality of human resources. East Tanjung Jabung Regency has the lowest Human Development Index among regencies/cities in Jambi Province. Most of the human resources in East Tanjung Jabung Regency still choose to work in the agricultural sector and the workforce based on education is still dominated by elementary school education. The majority of people still choose to work as farmers, the low quality of human resources can hamper the development process and poverty alleviation efforts. Education is an important thing in improving the quality of human resources. The government and stakeholders have an important role in improving the quality of human resources. The research method used was qualitative with descriptive research type and used purposive sampling technique. This research uses an analysis of Walter Buckley's Social Systems theory which regarding Educational CSR highlights the importance of understanding companies as part of an open social system, interacting with their environment, and maintaining balance and the ability of a system to carry out their social responsibilities. The findings in this research are that PetroChina International Jabung Ltd. contributing to improving the quality of human resources, especially through CSR Education programs such as providing scholarships, teacher training, building/renovating schools, building libraries, smart cars and providing school facilities. The Human Development Index in East Tanjung Jabung Regency continues to increase every year, this cannot be separated from PetroChina's contribution through the implementation of CSR Education as an effort to improve the quality of human resources in East Tanjung Jabung Regency.
