Abstract
With the research titled "Communication Activities in History Learning through Instagram Accounts," this study aims to investigate how communication activities on the social media account @neohistoria.id serve as one of the contemporary learning media for delivering historical materials. This research is grounded in Anwar Arifin's (1994) theory of communication strategy stages. The researcher has opted for a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type, employing content analysis as the research basis. Data collection techniques chosen by the researcher include documentation and interviews with the administrators of the Instagram social media account @neohistoria.id.
The results of this research involve the researcher's attempt to compare communication strategies used in delivering historical materials by the Instagram account @neohistoria.id with Anwar Arifin's proposed communication strategy stages, which encompass three stages: situational analysis, goal setting, strategic planning, and evaluation. Through this comparison, the researcher can conclude that, although not proving the effectiveness of the outcomes, @neohistoria.id's activities, despite their shortcomings, align with the stages of communication strategy outlined by Anwar Arifin.
