Abstract

Science learning is related to systematic information-search activities about nature. Especially in the function of the human digestive system, this is one of the materials that is difficult for students to understand because it is related to processes in the human body and cannot be seen directly. The use of learning media makes it easier for students to understand material about the function of the human digestive system. Students can find out the form, function, and workings of the digestive system organs, as well as the location of these organs, making it easier for students to understand and motivating them to learn. The needs analysis obtained based on the above problems is in the form of interesting and fun learning media that makes students play a direct role in the use of media so that students do not get bored in learning and increase student interest in learning. When using this medium, students can learn about the digestive system, the function of the digestive system organs, and the enzymes contained in it. With this medium, students can easily understand, be motivated, and have fun.
This research uses the ADDIE model and consists of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The source of data collection in this study was obtained from class V and grade V students. The purpose of this study was to develop products in the form of digestive board media for science learning in grade 5 elementary schools.
The results of this study show that digestive board media can support the implementation of science learning in grade V elementary schools. It can be clearly seen from the results of the study that class V students are very enthusiastic about participating in learning in the classroom. To show that digestive board media can encourage students to learn and can be used as a new source of learning. The results of this study are in line with the scores obtained from teacher and student questionnaires. This digestive board medium still has shortcomings and requires innovation and improvement by further researchers.
