Abstract
In today's digital age, media and technology transformation has changed the way people access and consume entertainment content. The change is evident in the broadcasting industry, especially in the form of the emergence of streaming services. Streaming services have enabled people to enjoy a wide range of television and film programmes over the Internet, with flexibility and ease unprecedented before. On the other hand, the phenomenon of streaming service also raises questions about its impact on public interest in watching conventional television. Conventional television, which was once the main source of entertainment and information for the public, must now compete with streaming services that offer a more diverse choice of content and are accessible at any time.
The research method used is quantitative. Data is obtained through survey methods with dissemination of questionnaires. The sample in this study was a citizen of RW 12 Kelurahan Turen, Kecamatan Turen,Kabupaten Malang of 72 citizens determined by the Slovin formula. The result of the simple linear regression test is Y = 17.569 + 0.125X which means that when the TV Streaming Surface variable increases, the TV streaming viewing frequency (Y) increases by 0.125. Based on the determination coefficient value, the influence of the TV streaming surface on the conventional TV viewing Frequency is 0.9% whereas 99.1% is influenced by other variables.
