Abstract
Background: Social isolation is an experience of being alone from the environment, a person and feeling reluctant towards other people as a negative event or threatening situation. If social isolation is not handled, it will cause other problems. Quartered card therapy is an intervention with behavior modification techniques based on the principles of playing cards, practice and feedback to improve the client's ability to solve problems.
Objective: To determine the application of quartered card therapy to Mr. I with social isolation at UPT Bina Laras Pasuruan.
Method: The research method used in preparing this KIAN is a case study report. The author follows the scientific method in accordance with the rules of the nursing process which includes: assessment, data analysis, nursing intervention, implementation and evaluation. The sample for this study was 1 participant with
social isolation. Data collection uses interviews and observations according to psychiatric nursing assessment.
Results: After carrying out nursing care, it was found that Mr. I experienced a major nursing problem, namely social isolation. Mr. I was given SPTK with SP1-4 and additional therapy, namely quarted card therapy, with the result that there were changes in signs of social isolation symptoms and increased interactions, but these changes were not significant. Conclusion: Application of SPTK with SP1-4 and additional therapy, namely quarted card therapy, can increase interaction in Mr. I but is not significant.
