Abstract
As technology develops, the provision of travel services is often found on social media. This is because Indonesian people's interest in traveling is currently quite rapid. There is a tendency among Indonesian people after traveling to share their journey with the general public. The goal is to inform and describe the foreign world he has just discovered to other people. This is in accordance with the aim of this research, namely to describe the author's depiction of the world objectively and subjectively in the novel Bulan Terbelah di Langit Perempuan by Hanum Salsabiela Rais and Rangga Almahendra and also to describe the strategy for gaining readers' trust in the novel.
This research uses qualitative methods with a literary sociology approach. The data source in this research is the novel Bulan Terbelah di Langit Perempuan by Hanum Salsabiela Rais and Rangga Almahendra. The data used in this research are words, phrases, sentences and paragraphs related to the problem formulation. Data collection was carried out by reading the entire content of the novel carefully and then recording relevant quotes. The data analysis technique was carried out using descriptive analysis techniques.
The results of this research are a) the tendency to involve the author's subjectivity when describing a foreign world, b) depicting Islam in the United States, and c) there are three strategies for gaining readers' trust in the travel story presented, namely objective and detailed about Islam in America, empirical and familiarity.
