Abstract
In general, there are three main problems related to administrative governance at the Nunukan Regency Regional Secretariat, especially in the Governance Section. Firstly, it is seen from the level of employee discipline, including the problem of absenteeism, attendance, and wearing official uniforms. Then the working hours regulations have not been maximally adhered to, thus causing obstacles to effective and efficient administrative processes. The next problem is that the archives are not arranged neatly in accordance with applicable operational standards. The aim of this research is to determine the Accountability of Administrative Governance in the Nunukan Regency Regional Secretariat, Governance Section.
The results of the research findings show that from the aspect of administrative accountability, in supporting the performance carried out at the Nunukan Regency Regional Secretariat, it has government performance reports, such as government agency performance accountability reports, government agency performance accountability systems, as well as monitoring and evaluation. Meanwhile, from the aspect of professional accountability, not all employees at the Nunukan Regency Regional Secretariat fully comply with the work rules, as well as the level of discipline which is still insufficient, making the performance process hampered. As for Administrative Management at the Regional Secretariat of Nunukan Regency, several obstacles were found, including administrative obstacles, such as the arrangement of document archives which could be said to be less effective and a tiered organizational structure as well as socio-cultural obstacles, such as the low mentality of employees and the culture of feudal political practices.
