Abstract
The demand for Quality of Service (QoS) in network infrastructure has significantly increased with the growing reliance on digital services. This research aims to optimize QoS through the implementation of Simple Queue and Policy-based Routing (PBR) techniques, specifically focusing on server Load balancing and failover mechanisms. The study is conducted in Sejahterah Village, where a local server serves as the central point for network services.
The research begins with an analysis of the existing network infrastructure, identifying potential bottlenecks and areas for improvement. By employing Simple Queue, the bandwidth management system is enhanced, allowing for better allocation and prioritization of network resources. Additionally, Policy-based Routing is implemented to enable dynamic routing decisions based on specified criteria, ensuring efficient traffic distribution among multiple servers.
The optimization process involves configuring and fine-tuning the Simple Queue and PBR settings to achieve optimal QoS results. To evaluate the effectiveness of the optimization, a comparative analysis is conducted between the optimized network setup and a network configuration without the utilization of Simple Queue and PBR. Various QoS metrics such as throughput, latency, and packet loss are measured and compared to determine the improvement achieved through the optimization techniques.
The results indicate that the implementation of Simple Queue and PBR significantly enhances QoS compared to the network setup without these techniques. The optimized network exhibits improved bandwidth management, Load balancing, and failover capabilities, leading to reduced latency, increased throughput, and minimized packet loss. These improvements positively impact the user experience and ensure reliable network services in Sejahterah Village.
Overall, this research highlights the importance of implementing Simple Queue and PBR techniques in network infrastructure to achieve optimal QoS. The findings provide valuable insights for network administrators and operators in similar local server environments, showcasing the potential benefits of integrating these techniques for enhanced network performance and user satisfaction.
