Abstract
Background: Hyperemesis gravidarum is a pregnant woman who often experiences
nausea and vomiting which can interfere with daily activities thereby endangering
the health of the baby and mother, and can even cause death. Hyperemesis
Gravidarum is a lack of nutritional intake so that pregnant women experience
malnutrition or weight loss. Poor nutritional intake and fluid loss due to persistent
vomiting are associated with electrolyte disturbances, malnutrition, fetal growth
restriction, low birth weight, and nutritional deficits.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the nutritional management of
pregnant women with hyperemesis gravidarum.
Method: In this case study the researcher uses a quantitative descriptive analysis
technique by focusing on the problem which is then carried out by actual problem
solving. For the research sample method using purposive sampling.
Results: The results of the intervention found that there were better changes in the
mother before and after nutritional management was carried out.
Conclusion: The problem of nutritional deficit in the case of hyperemesis
gravidarum was resolved because a nutritional management intervention was carried
out for 3 days to get an evaluation, namely nausea, vomiting decreased, food portions
were used up, appetite improved, there was no abdominal pain.
