Abstract
This research aimed to determined the application of the drill method with a constructivist approach in the Arabic language learning process and the impact of applying the drill method in the Arabic language learning process. This method uses descriptive qualitative research by collecting information through observation, interviews, and documentation—data analysis using data reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions and increasing the validity of the results. Applying the drill method with a constructivist approach can make it easier for students to learn Arabic, especially in memorizing vocabulary. By reading the exercises repeatedly, students will more easily remember Arabic vocabulary. Apart from that, the drill method can also make it easier for teachers to control student pronunciation. When an error occurs, the teacher can immediately correct it. However, the drill method also has shortcomings, namely memorization, which is only short-term. Students were able to memorize vocabulary after being given the first stimulus, but when given the stimulus the next day, students still needed clarification. To overcome this deficiency, teachers need to provide continuous stimulus.
