Abstract
There are many legal issues related to goods delivery services, especially goods delivery services regarding delays in sending goods to consumers. One of the problems is when circumstances force or force majeure. Force majeure is not something that is easy to conclude, considering that the rules regarding force majeure in the Civil Code itself are not yet clear. The aim of this research is to find out how compensation is implemented and whether compensation is implemented by PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Mojokerto Branch has legal protection for consumers who experience delays in the delivery of goods due to force majeure. This research uses empirical research methods. Primary data was obtained from informants at PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Mojokerto branch through interviews. And the legal materials used are journals and legislation. Based on the results of research conducted at PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Mojokerto branch was dominated by force majeure caused by extreme weather, so the deliveries outside the island and abroad were hampered. Form of responsibility from PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Mojokerto branch, if a force majeure occurs when the goods to be sent are delayed, consumers can propose a claim for compensation. For consumers who insure their goods, the consumer will receive compensation according to the shipping cost price.
