Abstract
The implementation of education, problems are still very often found, one of each other is a deviation from the character of students. A person's character can be influenced by various things both from oneself and the surrounding environment. Considering this thing, character education is an important step to build and reshape the identity of a nation. The cultivation of character education itself can also be implemented in a way combined with basic education
This study aims to describe: (1) Planning for Strengthening Character Education based on local wisdom at SDN 03 Sisir Kota Batu, (2) Implementation of Strengthening Character Education based on local wisdom at SDN 03 Sisir Kota Batu, (3) Evaluation of Strengthening Character Education based on local wisdom at SDN 03 Sisir Kota Batu. This study used qualitative research. This research was conducted in grade V of the 2022/2023 school year at SDN 03 Sisir Kota Batu. The researchers using Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation.
The results showed (1) the implementation of planning was carried out by involving the entire school community in collaboration with the school committee. In the planning activity, it was found that related to strengthening character education, a week of sharing activities will be carried out, namely Monday do good, Tuesday sharing, Wednesday literacy, Thursday lumeration and Friday civilized and clean, (2) The implementation process runs well through character habituation activities in learning and extracurricular activities as well as the implementation of a week of sharing activities that help the growth and development of students both in terms of attitude, learning interests and skills in accordance with the Pancasila student profile, (3) Evacuation activities were carried out by teachers through direct observation and from several control books, namely character control, prayer control and reading control because the school did not yet have special instruments for evaluating character education. Evaluation activities were carried out through control over the implementation of activities by reflecting and analyzing.
