Abstract
Tourism destinations are often vulnerable to various risks, including
natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, and so on. Through the implementation of effective disaster management, tourism destinations can identify potential threats and take preventive measures to reduce their impact. This research focuses on the application of disaster management carried out by Jawa Timur Park Group to determine the role holistically in achieving sustainable
tourism. The type of research used in this study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with purposive sampling techniques. The data collection methods used were interviews, observations, and focus group discussions. The results of this study show that disaster management in East Java Park Group has an impact in supporting sustainable tourism as a form of preservation of cultural and
ecological assets in the long term. Researchers managed to collect data on disaster-related events in East Java Park Group, and the result was that there was no good enough disaster management. Therefore, researchers succeeded in providing recommendations to the East Java Park Group in the form of good
disaster management handling procedures for the tourism industry.
