Abstract
Background: Students are prone to experiencing mental health problems, especially when facing the OSCE exam. Anxiety arises because of the pressure to perform well and the fear of failure. Anxiety impairs concentration, the ability to think clearly, and communicate well, this has an impact on academic performance and psychological well-being. Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of murottal therapy of the Qur'an on the level of anxiety of students before implementing the OSCE. Methods: This study uses quantitative research design with pre-post test method in one group (one group pretest-posttest design). The population of this study is students of the Nursing Science Study program Class of 2022. The sample was 72 respondents. In this study, researchers used murottal therapy of the Qur'an surah Ar-Rahman and Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) used as a gauge of anxiety levels. Results: The Data were then analyzed using the wilcoxon test using SPSS. The results of this study showed that there were 52 respondents (72%) did not experience anxiety. Conclusion: Significant test showed p=0.000 (<0.05), so that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted which means that there is an effect of murottal al-Qur'an therapy on the level of anxiety of students before implementing OSCE.
