Abstract
This study serves to determine the profile of traders in the Beringharjo market in Yogyakarta from a social and economic point of view by looking for the profile of traders when in the scope of society whether they become social position holders of the community or not, looking at the length of business carried out to find out whether a long business affects income. The data used in this observation is obtained from various sources including obesrvasion and questionnaires. In processing Break Even Point (BEP) data using Microsoft Excel 2023 software with the Break Even Point rupiah formula. The results showed that in the calculation of BEP on the basis of product sales in rupiah, it is known that BEP is high if the sales obtained are small and variable and fixed costs are high. The results of the calculation of BEP of Yogyakarta Beringharjo Market clothing traders obtained far exceeded the sales obtained. So it can be concluded that Beringharjon Market clothing traders who own kiosks and are managed by direct owners are always profitable. This is due to several factors, including: no kiosk rental costs, no labor costs, many customers, high selling prices, and low inventory purchase costs.
