PESAN MOTIVASI DALAM LIRIK LAGU GRUP INDIE (ANALISIS ISI LAGU TIMUR KARYA THE ADAMS)

This study aims to analyze the motivational messages contained in the lyrics of the song “Timur” by The Adams. Songs as a form of communication media do not only function as entertainment but also serve as a medium for conveying messages through the use of language in lyrics. This study uses a descriptive qualitative content analysis method to identify, categorize, and explain the forms of motivational messages contained in the song lyrics. The data in this study are the lyrics of the song “Timur” by The Adams, which are analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s data analysis stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The analysis was conducted by examining each part of the lyrics related to the research focus and interpreting the meaning of the messages contained within them.
The results of the study show that the lyrics of “Timur” by The Adams contain motivational messages related to the spirit of facing life, hope for the future, struggles in overcoming difficulties, encouragement to rise, and perseverance in going through life processes. These messages are conveyed through the use of language in the lyrics that describe experiences, self-reflection, and perspectives on life’s journey. Through qualitative content analysis, the song “Timur” demonstrates that music can function as a communication medium capable of delivering motivational messages to listeners.
