Abstract

This study examines the effect of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance and Board Gender Diversity on the financial performance of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2017-2023. The sample consists of 107 companies with 396 observations analyzed using the Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The results indicate that ESG has a positive and significant effect on Tobin’s Q and ROA but has no significant effect on ROE. Meanwhile, Board Gender Diversity does not significantly affect Tobin’s Q, ROA, or ROE. These findings suggest that ESG implementation improves firm value and profitability, whereas board gender diversity has not yet significantly contributed to financial performance.
