Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of work discipline on employee performance with job satisfaction as a mediating variable at PT Kresna Jaya Perkasa. This research employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The population consisted of 105 employees, including heavy equipment operators and drivers. A saturated sampling technique was applied, in which all members of the population were used as research respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method with SmartPLS software.
The results indicate that work discipline is categorized as very high, job satisfaction is categorized as very satisfied, and employee performance is categorized as high. Hypothesis testing reveals that work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, work discipline has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, and job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Furthermore, job satisfaction is proven to significantly mediate the relationship between work discipline and employee performance. These findings suggest that improving work discipline can enhance job satisfaction, which in turn leads to better employee performance. Therefore, companies should focus on implementing effective work discipline and improving employee job satisfaction to achieve optimal performance.
