Abstract
Manufacturing companies must implement good inventory management to obtain an effectiveness production process. PT. Jaya Etika Beton is a manufacturing company that operates in precast concrete construction. This research aims to determine the number of safety stock and order points of each of the main materials used in the production process so that the process runs efficiently and does not occur. This research uses the method safety stock and order point. The research results show that companies need to implement safety stock for coral, sand, cement, and materials additive console respectively 396.52 Tons, 351.76 m3, 117.59 Tons, and 1,497.9 lt. Whereas for reorder point for coral material as much as 481.22 tons, 416.53 m3 for sand, 152.42 tons for cement material, and for additive console as much as 1,713, 87 lt. Suggestions were given to PT. Jaya Etika Beton is a company that can apply calculations of safety stock and reorder point on main material supplies. Application safety stock and reorder point allow companies to optimize and increase effectiveness in the production process. Thus, risk stockout during lead time can be minimized and the smooth production process maintained.
