Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of Green Talent Management (GTM) at Rayz UMM Hotel Malang using a qualitative approach with data triangulation techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The CIPP evaluation model (Context, Input, Process, Product) is used as an analytical framework to examine two main dimensions of GTM: Green Hard Talent Management (GHTM) and Green Soft Talent Management (GSTM). Research informants include the General Manager, HRD Coordinator, HRD Staff, Jr. Sous Chef, and Demi Chef Pastry.
The findings show that the implementation of GTM remains informal and has not been systematically documented. In the GHTM aspect, green recruitment systems, structured training programs, environmentally-based performance evaluations, and formal reward mechanisms are not yet available and are not supported by written policies or clear SOPs. Meanwhile, in the GSTM aspect, sustainability values and green culture have started to develop through leadership role modeling, but mentoring programs, value-based training, and dedicated communication forums are not yet organizationally structured. Although there is growing awareness and employee participation in environmentally friendly practices, the success of GTM implementation still relies on individual initiatives and is not yet integrated as a sustainable organizational system.
This study recommends optimizing GTM implementation through the development of GTM policies, formulation of SOPs, structured training, green performance evaluation systems, formal reward mechanisms, and strengthening of a sustainable organizational culture. The implementation of these recommendations is expected to systematically and sustainably enhance GTM to improve employee performance in supporting environmental sustainability practices.
