Abstract
Learning is a complex process experienced by everyone in their lives. The learning process involves interactions between teachers and students in an educational setting to achieve learning goals. Based on the results of needs analysis through interviews and observations at Tunjungsekar 3 Public Elementary School, the researcher obtained information that they have implemented the Merdeka Curriculum for the fourth grade. The results of interviews and observations indicate the need to develop a learning medium that can support students in independent learning and understanding subject matter according to each individual's learning progression.
Based on this, the researcher developed a Traditional Javanese Cultural-Based Mathematics Comic for the topic of Plane Shapes for fourth-grade students at Tunjungskar 3 Public Elementary School. The developed learning medium is a mathematics comic that facilitates students' learning of mathematics, particularly on the topic of plane shapes. The ADDIE model consists of five phases: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. ADDIE is a model that focuses on individualized learning, with immediate and long-term phases, a systematic and systematic approach, based on knowledge and human learning.
The research and development of the mathematics comic were implemented overall in Tunjungskar 3 Public Elementary School, Malang, for fourth-grade students. The expert learning response received a percentage of 76% with a "worthy" rating, while the student response questionnaire received a percentage k 95.23% with an "excellent" rating, and the students enjoyed the mathematics comic medium.
