Abstract

The rapid population growth in Mataram City has led to an increase in daily waste generation, which consequently causes negative impacts such as the spread of diseases, unpleasant odors, and environmental pollution. The rising volume of daily waste has exceeded the current management capacity and increased the amount of uncollected waste. This situation has further worsened the condition of Kebon Kongok Landfill, which has reached overcapacity.
This study proposes the development of the Kebon Talo Integrated Waste Management Facility (TPST) as a strategic alternative, with a hangar area of 118 × 46 m and a management capacity of 65.969 tons/day, designed to accommodate projected waste generation for the next 10 years. The main facilities include waste sorting equipment, maggot cultivation using Black Soldier Fly (BSF), composting units, an incinerator, and an extruder.
