Abstract
This study investigates the determinants of financial behavior among generation Z in Indonesia. This study focuses on the effect of financial knowledge on financial behavior, considering financial self-efficacy and financial attitude as mediating variables in the relationship. This research was conducted using quantitative methods. The data used in this study is primary data derived from a survey method that applies a questionnaire through google form. The data collection technique in this study was through a questionnaire distributed to 1,600 respondents who were born from 1997 to 2005 or categorized as generation Z in Indonesia. The sampling technique used in the study was purposive sampling. Data analysis in this study was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) operated through the PLS program. The results of the analysis show that financial self-efficacy, and financial attitudes have a positive and significant effect on generation Z's financial behavior. Financial knowledge has a positive and significant effect on financial self-efficacy and a negative and significant effect on financial attitudes and financial behavior. In addition, financial self-efficacy and financial attitudes positively and significantly mediate the relationship between financial knowledge and financial behavior. This study provides insight into the complexity of factors that shape the financial behavior of generation Z.
