Abstract
Migrant students often face adaptation challenges such as separation from family, academic pressure, and new sociocultural adjustments, which can induce stress and decrease psychological well-being. Religious coping as a religion-based coping mechanism can help maintain mental health. This study aims to analyze the relationship between religious coping and psychological well-being among migrant Nursing students at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (FIKES UMM). The research method used a cross-sectional design with a population of 326 students and a sample of 180 respondents selected through a purposive sampling technique. The instruments used were the Brief Religious Coping (Brief RCOPE) to measure religious coping and the Ryff Psychological Well-Being Scale 18 items to measure psychological well-being. Data analysis included univariate and bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that the majority of respondents had positive religious coping (89.4%) and low psychological well-being (79.4%). The Chi-Square test indicated a significant relationship between religious coping and psychological well-being (p=0.000). The conclusion of this study is that religious coping plays an important role in improving the psychological well-being of migrant students. Practical implications include the development of campus-based spiritual interventions to support the mental health of migrant students. This research provides a basis for the development of psychosocial and spiritual support programs in the higher education environment.
