Abstract

Pregnancy increases the risk of hypertension, which can lead to serious complications for both the mother and fetus. In Indonesia, the prevalence of hypertension in pregnant women continues to rise. Family support plays a vital role in helping to lower blood pressure through physical, emotional, and mental approaches. However, studies on the role of families in managing pregnancy-related hypertension remain limited, necessitating further research. Objective: To describe family efforts in caring for pregnant women with hypertension through a case study of Mrs. B (25) in Manggisa, Jember. Methods: The research used a qualitative approach with a case study strategy on three subject, namely Mr. T aged 26 years, Mr. A aged 23 years, N.y I aged 21 years. Validation was conducted through source triangulation using semi-structured face-to-face interviews. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. Results: Data analysis, validated by participants, identified five key themes: (1 preventive efforts : providing healthy food, (2 curative efforts : reminding mothers to take medication on schedule, (3 rehabilitative efforts : providing sufficient rest, and (4) promotive efforts : inviting mothers to do sports. Conclusion:. This support helps improve the mother's physical and emotional well-being, reduces stress, and stabilizes blood pressure.
