Obesity in adolescents is considered very serious because it has lifelong effects, and makes it one of the top public health problems of the 21st century and contributes to 2.6 million deaths worldwide each year the prevalence of obesity has increased in many countries. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence obesity among Indonesian adolescents. This study is a cross-sectional study and uses data from the 2015 Indonesia Global School-Based Health Survey (IGSHS). The sample in this study were adolescents who were overweight and obese based on BMI calculations of 782 students, consisting of 75 schools representing three regions (Sumatra, Java-Bali, Outside Sumatra, Java-Bali) in 26 provinces and 68 districts/cities in Indonesia. The variables studied consisted of age, gender, food security, eating behavior, mental well-being and physical activity. Data analysis used in this study was chi-square and multivariate logistic regression. The results of the study showed that factors associated with obesity among adolescents in Indonesia, with a p-value of 0.05, were gender and physical activity. Male adolescents and those who rarely or never exercised were more susceptible to overweight and obesity than female adolescents and those who were physically active
