Abstract

The disease outbreak that is currently hitting several countries in the world, namely COVID-19, is a virus with symptoms ranging from the common cold to more severe illnesses. This disease has a huge impact both from an economic, industrial and social perspective, including the world of education. As a result, schools that were initially face-to-face become online learning. It is also inseparable from the education of children with special needs, slow learner types or others, both in the field of mathematics and other fields as well.
This research used data collection techniques of observation, questionnaires, interviews and documentation with the research subjects being teachers at SLB Eka Mandiri, Batu City.
Based on research, most (75%) teachers often have problems when conveying mathematical concepts to students in online learning, more than half (81%) of teachers have problems using the question and answer method in online learning, more than half (69%) of teachers hampered by advertisements and notifications on cellphones/laptops disrupting online learning, more than half (62%) of teachers are hampered by students not being enthusiastic about participating in online learning. Most teachers and students are not focused on online learning (69%), more than half (87% ) teachers have difficulty monitoring the development and learning progress of slow learner students in the field of mathematics when they cannot interact directly with them
