Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of learning Al-Islam, Muhammadiyah, and Arabic (ISMUBA) on the formation of students' morals at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Malang City. ISMUBA learning is the main content in the Muhammadiyah education system which aims to form Islamic character and improve students' understanding of religion. ISMUBA learning has the main function of fostering and guiding students to become people who believe and fear Allah SWT with noble morals, practice Islam in everyday life, in accordance with the guidance of the Al-Qur'an and As-Sunnah. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational research type, which aims to determine the extent to which ISMUBA learning variables influence the variables of student moral formation. Data collection techniques were carried out by distributing questionnaires to grade VII students as research samples, accompanied by observation and documentation as supporting data. Based on the results of the data analysis obtained, it is known that there is a significant relationship between the quality of ISMUBA learning implementation and the level of student morals. The better and more structured the ISMUBA learning that is implemented, the higher the commendable morals that are formed in students. The results of this study indicate that ISMUBA learning provides a positive contribution and influence in forming students who are not only intellectually intelligent, but also have Islamic character and morals. These results emphasize the strategic role of ISMUBA learning in supporting the national education mission and Muhammadiyah's vision to produce a generation with noble morals and an Islamic soul. Therefore, this study is expected to be a reference for the development of more innovative and relevant learning methods to form better student morals.
