PERAN HUMOR DALAM MENGGAMBARKAN REALITAS SOSIAL DI FILM AGAK LAEN (Analisis Isi Dalam Film Karya Muhadkly Acho)

Humor can be defined as a feeling or symptom that drives us to laugh, or a tendency to laugh mentally as a result of inner awareness, or it can also be the result of a creation in depicting social reality, such as in the film Agak Laen by Muhadkly Acho. This film utilizes humor as an effective communication tool to convey social messages relevant to society, particularly the experiences of university students.
Through a content analysis approach, this research explores various forms of humor present in the film and how these forms contribute to building solidarity and empathy among viewers.
The results of the study show that the humor in Agak Laen functions not only as entertainment but also as social criticism that reflects the absurdity of various social phenomena, such as injustice and intergenerational conflict. By presenting comedic situations, the film invites the audience to reflect on existing societal issues while creating an emotional connection between the viewers and the characters. The use of humor also proves effective in easing the tension that arises from heavy themes, thus making viewers more comfortable discussing sensitive issues. Overall, this film provides valuable insight for communication students into communication strategies that can be used to attract attention and foster dialogue about social realities. This research is expected to serve as a reference for filmmakers and other researchers in understanding the dynamics of humor and its impact on audience perception.
