Abstract

The increasingly intense competition in the Islamic banking industry demands
improved employee performance as one of the keys to organizational success.
Delays in morning roll calls and unmet marketing targets at Bank Syariah
Indonesia (BSI) Renon Bali Branch indicate that work values have not been fully
internalized. This study aims to analyze the influence of Islamic Leadership on
Employee Performance with Islamic Organizational Culture as a mediating
variable. The research employed a quantitative explanatory approach with a
sample of 50 employees selected using total sampling. Data were analyzed using
the Partial Least Square (PLS-SEM) method. The results show that Islamic
Leadership has a significant influence on Islamic Organizational Culture but does
not have a direct effect on Employee Performance. Furthermore, Islamic
Organizational Culture does not mediate the influence of leadership on
performance. In conclusion, although Islamic Leadership contributes to shaping a
strong organizational culture, it is not yet effective enough in directly improving
employee performance. The implication for management is the need to strengthen
cultural values in a more operational manner to impact performance improvement.
