Abstract

This study aims to analyze the sustainable added value of swallow nest cultivation in Buntok City, South Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan, through the Triple Bottom Line approach. Swallow nest cultivation in this region is growing rapidly and is one of the main sources of income for the community, but it also causes various social and environmental impacts that have not been studied in depth. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. The results of the study show that swallow nest cultivation provides significant added value economically through increasing local people's income and contributing to the regional economy. Socially, this practice also creates business opportunities, but has the potential to cause conflicts with local residents due to noise and waste disturbances. In terms of the environment, this cultivation tends not to adopt environmentally friendly principles optimally. This research emphasizes the importance of strengthening governance based on local wisdom and regional regulations in supporting the sustainability of the swallow business, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
