MANAJEMEN KOMUNIKASI DALAM UPAYA PELESTARIAN TARI TOPENG MALANGAN (Studio Pada Padepokan Seni Topeng Malangan "Asmorobangun", Kecamatan Pakisaji, Kabupaten Malang)

This research examines the communication management of Padepokan Seni Topeng Malangan “Asmorobangun” in preserving the art of Topeng Malangan dance amid the challenges of globalization and the dominance of foreign cultures such as K-Pop and TikTok viral dance. The formulation of this research problem is how is the communication management of the Malangan Mask Art Padepokan “Asmorobangun” in preserving the art of Malangan Mask dance? The purpose of this research is to find out the communication management of the Malangan Mask Art Padepokan “Asmorobangun” in preserving the art of Malangan Mask dance.
This research uses descriptive qualitative research, a case study research base and data collection methods using interviews and documentation. The research location is at Padepokan Seni Topeng Malangan “Asmorobangun”, Pakisaji District, Malang Regency.
The results showed that Padepokan “Asmorobangun” managed to survive through effective communication management in the face of declining interest of the younger generation in traditional arts. This study aims to analyze the aspects of communication management in the preservation of Indonesian cultural heritage, namely Malangan Topeng Dance. The research shows that Padepokan Asmorobangun effectively plans and disseminates information about Malangan Mask Dance by involving various age groups, especially children, through cooperation with schools and the government.
