Abstract

Bioethical literacy related to biology which applies the aspects and nature of ethics. Bioethics is also to help society be aware of current ethical dilemmas. Then to be able to face problems that arise due to science and technology in the future. The research method used in this research is a descriptive survey and a quantitative approach. The approach used is a quantitative approach because the research results are in the form of numbers. The position of the results can be determined based on the scores obtained from data recapitulation. This data recapitulation can see the extent of bioethical literacy and ethical attitudes of pure biology study program students at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. So the total score obtained for bioethics literacy and ethical attitudes is 3,543 from the ideal score of 4,400 for 20 statement items. Literacy bioethics iteration with ethical attitudes at UIN Maualana Malik Ibrahim Malang is described in four dimensions, namely: (1) knowledge in categories is very good (89%), (2) attitudes in the good category (65%), (3) cognitive skills in the good category (80%), and (4) behavior in the good category (83%). From the overall dimensions of bioethical literacy with ethical attitudes, the results obtained based on the continuum line are at 3,543 in the medium category. Bioethical literacy has a positive relationship with ethical attitudes with a result of 000 < 0.05. Research shows that ethical attitudes are closely related to aspects of knowledge, attitudes and behavior.
