Abstract
This research aims to analyze and describe: (1) Planning of the PLP program in preparing professional teachers, (2) Implementation of the PLP program in preparing professional teachers, (3) evaluation of the PLP program in preparing professional teachers, (4) supporting and inhibiting factors for the PLP program in preparing professional teachers.
This type of research is qualitative research using a qualitative descriptive research design with research locations at SMA Negeri 1 Malang and MTsN Batu. The data source was obtained from the Head of the Lab. Microteaching and PLP and Deputy Dean I of FKIP UMM, teachers of SMA Negeri 1 Malang and MTsN Batu, PPKn-FKIP UMM students who have taken the PLP 1-2 program class 2019 and 2020, students of SMA Negeri 1 Malang and MTsN Batu with data collection carried out through interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis uses Miles and Huberman theory.
Research results that show planning for the PLP program in preparing professional teachers is based on PLP activities in the form of assigning students to implement learning outcomes through observing the learning process at school. The implementation of the PLP program in the preparation of professional teachers aims to prepare the initial abilities of prospective teachers by directly experiencing teaching in certain fields within a limited time. The PLP program requires students to be able to master four main competencies as professional teachers, these four competencies are: pedagogical competence, personality competence, professional competence, social competence. Evaluation of the PLP program in preparing professional teachers shows that the main goal is to improve the quality of learning and personal competence. Supporting and inhibiting factors for the PLP program in preparing professional teachers are the roles of supervising teachers, supervising lecturers, partner schools and sending universities. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors for the PLP program are students' lack of self-confidence and time management which are the factors inhibiting the PLP program..
