Abstract
Background: Ankle sprain injuries frequently occur in the sport of badminton. Various methods can be applied, including RICE, bracing, and taping. To achieve optimal results from these existing methods, it is necessary for both athletes and coaches to have a sufficient level of understanding in applying them appropriately according to the phase of the ankle sprain injury.
Objective: To determine the level of understanding of the rehabilitation program (RICE, bracing, and taping) after an ankle sprain injury among badminton athletes and coaches.
Method: This type of literature review is a narrative review with a literature search through PubMed and Google Scholar.
Results and Discussion: Based on the literature review, the level of understanding among athletes and coaches is generally high and continues to improve, with several influencing factors such as playing experience, education, and prior training history.
Conclusion: The level of understanding of badminton athletes and coaches regarding ankle sprain rehabilitation methods is high and continous to improve.
