Abstract

The research of background by the results of observations and interviews, which found there were 50% of grade I students of SDN Gesang 02 Lumajang didn’t understood of reading the text in a paragraph so it became an obstacle in the learning process. The right solutions for troubleshooting it is by providing reading material in the stories presented in picture storybooks that are in accordance with the theme of Indonesian language learning. So the researcher will conduct research with the title "MASAMI (My Story About Family) media development in Indonesian language learning in grade 1 elementary school".
This research and development use ADDIE development model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Determination the level of validity and attractiveness of learning media products based on the results of the validation test of experts and tested in grade 1 elementary school. Techniq of the Data collection using kualitatif data analysis (interviews and observations) and kuantitatif (questionnaire of the team validation, questionnaire of the student and teacher of the class grade 1). The source of data obtained from first grade students of SDN Gesang 02, totaling 20 students. The research was conducted on August 2, 2023 with 19 students and 1 student absent.
The results showed that the percentage value obtained from the material expert validation was 90% and the media expert validation was 90% so it could be categorized as suitable for use. While the response obtained from the student response was 96.6% and the teacher response was 95% categorized as getting a very good response. Advice for future researchers is the implementation of media implementation in the groups of grade 1 in the early semester requires a lot of attention and supervision, because student of grade 1 still need guidance regarding learning activities of group.
