Abstract

Background: Hypertension, often referred to as “The Silent Killer,” typically presents without symptoms, leading many individuals to remain unaware of their condition until it progresses to severe complications such as stroke and heart disease. Risk factors include unhealthy dietary habits, lack of physical activity, and stress. Modifications in daily life patterns play a crucial role in preventing complications in hypertensive patients. Objective: This study aims to explore the daily life patterns of patients in managing high blood pressure. Methods: The research utilized a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with three participants residing in Darungan Village, Jember Regency. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation. Results: Three main themes were identified: (1) Dietary patterns, (2) Physical activity patterns, and (3) Emotional patterns. Conclusion: Hypertension management requires a comprehensive approach, including improvements in dietary habits, increased physical activity, emotional regulation, and social support to enhance the effectiveness of blood pressure control.
