Abstract
Muhammadiyah tertiary institutions in eastern Indonesia are experiencing new
challenges related to the existence of Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah learning. This
challenge is due to the fact that in quantity there are more non-Muslim students than
Muslim students. This study aims to analyze the philosophy of the AI-Islam and
Kemuhammadiyahan learning model based on Religious Moderation at Universitas
Muhammadiyah Sorong, analyze the Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan learning
model based on Religious Moderation for Students at Sorong Muhammadiyah
University and analyze the implementation of Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan
learning based on Religious Moderation to students at the Universitas
Muhammadiyah Sorong
This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type of research. The
researcher collected data by making observations at the research site, collecting data
by interviewing related parties and documenting Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan
activities based on religious moderation. After the data is collected, the authors carry
out an analysis with an interactive model popularized by Miles and Huberman:
collecting data includes: condensing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions.
The author also tested the validity of the data using triangulation techniques: time
triangulation, source triangulation, method triangulation, and investigator
triangulation.
This research resulted in the following findings: the philosophical basis for learning
AI-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan based on religious moderation at Universitas
Muhammadiyah Sorong, namely by using two guidelines issued by Majelis
Diktilitbang PP Muhammadiyah namely AIK guidelines in PTM and AIK
Multicultural Education Guidelines; The AI-Islamic and Kemuhammadiyahan
learning model based on religious moderation is a form of operationalization of the
ultimate goal of Islamic Education, which is to empower people to worship Allah.
Consists of: Student-oriented or student-centered learning approach; Al-Islam and
Kemuhammadiyahan lecturer's learning strategy: 1) integrate from the point of view
and struggle that KH Ahmad Dahlan; 2) additive approach; 3) transformation
approach; 4) social action approach. Method 1) lecture; (2) demonstrations; (3)
discussion; (4) simulation; (5) laboratory; (6) field experience; (7) brainstorming;
(8) debates, (9) symposiums, and so on which are adjusted by educators with applied
learning. Lecture material conforms to AIK PTM learning guidelines and AIK
education guidelines perspective AIK learning evaluation is in the form of case study
assignments and is also portfolio in nature as a result of the learning process that has
taken place, and is used as feedback; The implementation of Al-Islam and
Kemuhammadiyahan learning is generally carried out with two learning namely
learning in the classroom and outside the classroom. Learning in the classroom by
applying AIK educational guidelines at PTMA and AIK Multicultural. While
activities outside the classroom are integrated with campus activities, namely:
mattresses, Muhammadiyah Student Association Tapak Suci (TS), Christian Student
Association, seminars, field studies, mabit activities and seminars.
