Abstract
The implementation of digital literacy in elementary school learning is an important concern in today's technological era. This study aims to describe the implementation and habituation of digital literacy in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning at SDN Junrejo 2 Batu. The focus of the study is directed at two main aspects, namely how teachers implement digital literacy in the learning process, and how habituation to the use of digital technology is developed in students. By understanding these two aspects, it is hoped that this study can provide an overview of digital literacy practices that are appropriate for elementary school level.
This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through classroom observations, interviews with science teachers, and documentation of learning in grade VI. Data analysis was carried out through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions to gain a deep understanding of the process of implementing digital literacy in elementary school environments.
The results of the study indicate that the implementation of digital literacy has begun to be integrated into science learning through the use of digital media and online information sources guided by teachers. Meanwhile, habituation is carried out slowly by forming students' habits in using technology responsibly and ethically. However, this process still faces obstacles such as limited digital devices, lack of supervision during internet use, and low student initiative in exploring information independently. This study concludes that the implementation of digital literacy at SDN Junrejo 2 Batu shows great potential, but still requires more targeted infrastructure support and pedagogical strategies to optimize it.
