Abstract
Background : Snacks are foods that can be consumed instantly and are liked by both adults and children. Most children like snacks because they like snacks with various shapes, striking colors, and delicious flavors. Snacks have advantages, but snacks are also thought to still pose a risk to children's health.
Purpose : This study aims to determine the effect of health education on the knowledge of unhealthy snacks in children.
Methods : This study uses the Literature Review method where data is taken from the ScienceDirect, PubMed, ProQuest, and NCBI databases with several keywords. Each journal goes through the stages of identification, screening, and assessment of study quality using The Joanna Briggs Institute Critical Appraisal Tool. The data was then extracted and analyzed based on the treatment category.
Results : The results of this study are that there is an effect of health education on knowledge of unhealthy snacks in children. The sample is children, namely 15 journals or 75% of the journals studied, the rest is a sample of children and parents of 5 journals, or 25% of all journals. Health education is provided through three media, the most media given to health education is audio-visual media as many as 8 journals or 40%, in the second rank the media provided for health education is audio media as many as 6 journals or 30%, and the last is media The visual aids used in providing health education are as many as 6 journals or 30% of all journals studied.
Conclusion : The conclusion that can be drawn from this study is that there are three types of media used in this study, namely, Visual Media, Audiovisual Media, and Auditive Media.
