Abstract

This study explores students' perceptions of using the mobile game Mobile Legends Bang Bang (MLBB) as a tool to enhance communication skills. With the increasing popularity of mobile games among students, the research examines how such platforms can contribute to the development of essential communication abilities. Employing a qualitative descriptive research design, data were collected through questionnaires and semi-structured interviews with students from the English Language Education Department at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. Findings reveal that MLBB fosters improved communication through in-game interactions, teamwork, and exposure to diverse linguistic and cultural contexts. Participants reported enhanced clarity, confidence, and adaptability in their communication, both in the game and real-life scenarios. The study highlights the potential of integrating mobile games into educational frameworks to support skill development and encourages educators to consider innovative, technology-driven approaches to learning.
