Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of poetry on student behavior as portrayed in the movie “Dead Poets Society.” Through a qualitative approach, this research examines how the characters' engagement with poetry affects their behavior, their decision making, and their relationships with each other. By focusing on movie scenes and character development over time, this analysis reveals how poetry contributes to personal growth and emotional exploration among the student characters. The findings show that poetry strengthens critical thinking, enhances creativity, and encourages students to explore new things. In addition, the study also discusses the potential negative consequences of these changes, including conflicts with the characters involved. Overall, this study highlights the deep role that poetry plays in shaping the thoughts and behaviors of student characters.
