Abstract
The redesign of the upper structure of the Faculty of Sports Science Building at Universitas Negeri Malang uses a composite steel structure with the Load Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) method, and is planned using the Special Moment-Resisting Frame (SMRF) system, referring to SNI 1727:2020 regarding minimum loads for building and other structural design, SNI 1729:2020 on specifications for structural steel buildings, SNI 7972:2020 on qualified connections for special and intermediate moment-resisting steel frames in seismic applications, SNI 7860:2020 on seismic provisions for structural steel buildings, SNI 1726:2019 on earthquake-resistant design procedures for buildings and non-building structures, and SNI 2847:2019 on requirements for structural concrete in buildings. The design results in a composite slab dimension of t = 120 mm, W-1000 floor deck type with a base metal thickness of 0.70 mm, wire mesh reinforcement M7.5-100 produced by PT. Union Metal, steel profiles for longitudinal beams are WF 250x125x6x9 and transverse WF 300x150x6.5x9, while main longitudinal beams are WF 450x200x9x14 and transverse main beams are WF 500x200x11x19. For columns, the profile used is KC 600x200x11x17. The connection type used is BSEP (Bolts Stiffened End Plates), while the base plate dimensions are 1000x1000 mm with anchors of 4-∅32 mm and a length of 1500 mm
