NILAI RELIGI MASYARAKAT ISLAM DALAM NOVEL DAHLAN KARYA HAIDAR MUSYAFA

This study is the result of an analysis of the religious values of Islamic society, including the forms of religious values and the functions of religious values contained in the novel Dahlan by Haidar Musyafa. The aim of this research is to describe: (1) the forms of religious values of Islamic society in the novel "Dahlan" by Haidar Musyafa, and (2) the functions of religious values of Islamic society in the novel "Dahlan" by Haidar Musyafa using Koentjaraningrat's theory of religious values. This type of research is qualitative using a literary anthropology approach. The data source in this research is the novel "Dahlan" by Haidar Musyafa. The data used in this research includes narration, sentences, quotations, and dialogues between characters related to the forms and functions of religious values found in the novel "Dahlan" by Haidar Musyafa. The data collection technique was conducted through observation, note-taking, and data verification. The data analysis technique was carried out by reading, collecting data, categorizing data, analyzing data, and concluding the results of the analysis. Based on the analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the novel "Dahlan" by Haidar Musyafa contains elements of forms and functions of religious values, which are: 1) forms of religious values, namely a) belief systems, b) ritual systems, and c) religious groups, and 2) functions of religious values, namely a) standardization, b) motivational, and c) ego-defensive.
