Abstract

The research on the development of the BUBER (counting bird) media box was motivated by a problem that occurred at SDN Mojorejo 01 Batu in grade I, namely the lack of understanding of the material that was reduced in mathematics learning. In the learning process still using lecture methods, textbooks that do not attract students' attention, and students' interest in learning and lack of learning media, so that students quickly feel bored, less excited and difficult to absorb information from the teacher. This research aims to create meaningful learning and in accordance with the needs of the learning process by developing learning media and also this research to find out the process of developing BUBER (counting bird) media box learning media.
This research uses the ADDIE model which includes 5 stages, namely analysis, planning, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. While data analysis techniques were used qualitatively and quantitatively, this study involved 29 grade I students of SDN Mojorejo 01 Batu.
The results of the development of the BUBER (counting bird) media box received a percentage of learning media validation scores of 77,5% with good categories and material validation of 85% with very good categories. Meanwhile, student responses get a percentage of 96% marks with very good categories, and teacher responses get a percentage of 100% with very good categories. The final evaluation test results get an average score of 87%. So it can be concluded that the BUBER (counting bird) media box is interesting and suitable for use in the mathematics learning process.
